About Me

Hi, I'm Jona, the baker behind Jona's Sweets.

 

Baking was not always my passion, it found me by chance. After high school, I was faced with an ultimatum to either attend college or join the military. I decided to take a leap and enroll in college, even though I had no idea what to study.

 

With encouragement from my sister, I enrolled at Johnson & Wales University, and that decision changed everything.

At Johnson & Wales, I discovered not only a love for baking, but also an appreciation for the creativity, discipline, and care that goes into it. What started as learning techniques and fundamentals slowly became something I genuinely enjoyed and felt connected to.

Over time, baking became more than schoolwork. It became a way for me to express myself and to be part of people’s special moments.​
